This is just a quick look and first impression of this new coil. I will add a more detailed report once I put it through its paces on various 'tough' detecting sites. So keep visiting the MLO forum for further updates!
The first field test was posted on the MLO forum in May;

I want to do more filming but that will have to wait until my other commitments are fulfilled. More soon ;)
I totally agree with "Sprinter": The holes do fill up with dirt in no time, and if you are really unlucky, you will catch/trap some mineralised dirt in there as well, and you won't find a thing deeper than 3-4 inches!
I solved it by filling the gap between the coil and plate with silocone, and filled all the small square holes with polystyrene. But this should have been solved from Minelab before they send it out on the market!! I love Minelab for their good ideas and innovation, but this one is not one of them, I'm sorry to say. Otherwise the coil is light in wight and easy to use, with average/good depth.
