Great tips. Took the advice and used electrical tape to secure the battery cover on my AA Battery Pack. Haven't detected with the Explorer II in the rain. BTW silicone sealant around the coil cover will help keep moisture and dirt out from between the coil and the protective cover. This will cut down on falsing.
