    1st gold

just a quick post, 3 hour hunt on local beach this afternoon, nothing special just my 1st piece of gold a broken black stone ring, thankfully i got the best part of it, the band has been broken off, i suspect it is only 9k, plucked from the low tide surf with Iron Mask (Scott's) scoop, so there you go mate my 1st gold with my 1st outing with your scoop and of course the mighty "E-TRAC" Happy Days

    thanks for looking

    Re: 1st gold

Well done on your first gold. Glad you are happy with the scoop. I felt awkward selling a sample product but you where demanding and I had to let it go.
Hope you are happy with it.
    Cheers

Welcome to the Bling Bling Club.

Did you keep the golf balls. I use them instead of lines and pins.

Quicker and just as good when detailed searching.

    Re: 1st gold

    . Thanks
How do you find the weight? Does the sand get out fast enough?
Wait till you see the final design I am working on. Should have the 3D model complete next week.
    Cheers

    Re: 1st gold

Well done Minty on your first yellow. Not such a fresh noob anymore, so time to change your name. ET is great on the wet sand isn't it? That's the main reason I bought mine.

    Re: 1st gold

Half ring or not, gold IS still GOLD, congrats on your first!

By the way, i really like the look of Iron Mask's scoop.
Best part, that scoop apparently works as good as it looks.

    Re: 1st gold

    thanks again guys
Scott the weight is fine, i have a 4.5' ash shaft fitted and DRAG it behind me, i must look very strange to the folk walking their dogs in the wash the sand clears quickly and when i have to lift a scoop full it works better than my old spade this thing can hold a lot of sand, my back can vouch for that i can tell ya im enjoying the beach hunt again, was out this afternoon, no gold but another £3.60 towards the Excal fund along with the usual load of aluminium.
praise where praise is due mate and you have mine
not sure if i should change my name just yet as i still get sucked in by bottlecaps and falsing but then, im a minty fresh noob

oh yes the ET is awesome on the beach

    cheers

    Kevin.

I can still remember my first gold ring from a beach, it was an unforgetable moment. Hopefully your ring will be the first of many, well done.

Thanks for the comments on the scoop guys. The 3D model is 95% done and I will be getting a price sorted in the next week. It really is taking too long but I want to have it correct.
    Keep you all posted.
