    Weekend finds

    Hi all - went out this weekend and put some serious hours in....had some very nice finds - nice Lizzie sixpence - Spanish Reale - a silver Celtic blank - a half groat - not sure on the cut quarter - Stephen ???
    Cut half - and a lizzie two pence - had worse weekends !!!

    Great pics Jerry, nice silver there. Henry II quarter? It's great when you get rewarded for long hours in the field.

    Like the 1 Reale. Any further info?

    My guess is Ferdinand & Isabel, late 1400's early 1500's probably mintmark B Burgos in northern Spain. (Looks like a worn B in the right place).

    I've got one of those Spanish jobs, Ferdinand and Isabella, Aragon and Castille. I thought roughly Tudor (ish). Mine came from Lincs.
    Finding ancient rubbish since 1977.
