Hi all,was out with the Excal 11 a while ago and when i got home and went through the finds bag a small rock i thought was alloy or rubbish turns out to be 1.8gms of natural platinum nugget... Happy Chappy!

Yep crystalline with no iron.. over $500au a gram.. i almost put it in the bin...

Hi, i had a friend test it but he has just got back to me and informed me that he used the wrong test. and that it is 9ct man made to look like a nugget, from a ear ring still it looks cool.. But on the good side i found last nite, 3 rings all (PT 950) 2 with diamonds and over 31 grams of the finest ... WooooHooo!

Ah too bad, but an ounce of Pt is not bad going, especially with a few stones
