never understand as to why we have to rely on other users to fill our needs for other set's of individual programs which may or not be the best for our own particular sites when we have already in the ctx 3030 5 preset minelab programes which cover most eventualities and which can be edited at any time to your own preferances.

I think the presets are fairly basic to get you up and running, the idea of using Gogs is that he has spent hundreds of hours testing and developing them so you can have tried and tested settings desogned to work in the uk whilst you are sussing the machine out.
Personally they were great for me when I first started and now I'm developing my own slowly very slowly !!

    Re: who is gog

I think I am correct in saying that there are very few members who have the ability to program these detectors including the Etrac, to gain the best response from them, unless they spend countless hours experimenting/trial and error methods. Many members including myself use Goggies programs and as was with the Etrac, Slow n Lows program, Without the hours those lads put in to give us this infomrmation, I reckon alot of us would give up on the machines. Those programs give you a good head start in understanding the machine and you can adjust them to suit your own requirements as you continue learning.
From a greatful member, thanks not only to Goggy and Neil but to others as well, for the work you put in with these detectors and share it with others.
