My best two finds from Corfe Mud Fest

Well I really enjoyed Corfe again and you really had to work for the finds.

Found the usual dross and a shopping bag of shotties but two great finds came my way.

First was eyes only - A stone age scraper

The second a penny of Edward the Confessor 1059 - 1062 A.D. Wareham mint

Looking forward to next year wherever we go, as its the people that make this rally so great.

I can understand why you wanted to be so careful with the coin. It's a stunner

Wareham? must be unusual, the place is so small even the postman can't remember where it is.

Good to meet you at Corfe, I hope the whisky didn't do too much damage

    David,

I think it did me good as I had five roman the day after even with a fuzzy head. A few loud signals from shotties soon cleared it though.
Thanks again for the wee drams.

That was a brilliant find Mal and Wareham mint. Like david said the place is so small in the days when it was minted there were probably only a collection of shepherds huts there. 1060 that goes back to the time when the castle was just being built at Corfe didn't it?
Why Waste time using an ordinary detector when you have the option to own a CTX3030.
