    Swimmen hole loot

Since i got my new Excal I thought I would go ahead and empty my loot bucket from the swimmen hole. I keep a 1lb coffee can in my truck to dump all my finds in, other than jewelry.
All these finds were found with my AT-Gold and E-Trac from one dried up swimmen hole. I am going to be using the Excal for all my water hunting so I am going to start a new finds bucket. The E-Trac is getting a make-over and the AT-Gold is gone, traded for the Excal.
    Clad Total $73.67
.54 cents in zinc that were no good.
    12 foreign coins
    1 school buss
    1 space alien
    1 lb of bullets

Yep its out of one hole. Its a river bed and it 200 yards across and miles long. This is a low water crossing that is open to the public. During the summer it will have a 100 people a day swimming. Right now we are in a drought and the water flow is at about 30%. It is all Granite, sand and gravel. There are a lot of people that detect this place, but most just stick to the sand. Here is a pic of the place. If you are in Texas pm me and I will take you to it.

We have been praying for a hurricane to hit us. We have lost so many trees around here it will take decades for this place to come back. Bottle it up and send it across the pond, we will take it.

Nice pile of coins you got there.
What are you going to do with them?

I'm debating on what to do with my pile of clads found this year as the detecting season draws to a close here? I still have a half coffee can full of clads from 30 years ago somewhere.
Might get rid of the zinc's and keep the coppers.

Know what you mean about the great Summer Drought of 2012. It was not only in Texas but most of the Midwest too. My well dam near went dry and the big farms around here pumped huge amounts of ground water for irrigating their crops making matters worse. The farmers who don't have irrigation pumps, well their corn stalks are a shadow of what they were last year at this time, many only a couple foot high.

I took the clad in today. My coffe can got to heavy and I thought it was going to crack open in the floor board.
Our drought started last summer. It has been better this year but not near enough to get us out of the drought. It looks like the hot pocket that was over us slid up to the Midwest. Our well went dry 3 times last year and this year we are getting a lot of discolored smelly water. Around here when a drought ends it usually goes out with a bang. We could get 19" of rain in one night and be crying for it to stop. Most of our Highland lakes are at 40 to 50% capcity right now

I didnt say it up top, but this is 2 months worth of digging, probably 20 hunts. Here is a pic of the good stuff that came from this area. There are a few people that hunt htis area but most dont get into the water. With the drought the water got pretty bad with dead fish and it stank prety bad.

Nice jewelry assortment! That swimming hole has really paid off for you

If you're still out there, is there any silver in that coin pile?
