    Yep, this is sad and an archaeological atrocity. Sort of like blowing up the Great Pyramid to put up a Hamburger joint.

    First the Taliban control the country after winning a long civil war after the Soviets left to cut their losses.
    Then the Taliban now in control, blow up similar ancient monuments causing a main stream media uproar here at the time.
    Then the U.S. and allies invade, occupy and control the country, trying to kick out the Taliban in the longest war in U.S. history costing to date roughly a half TRILLION dollars of borrowed money with hundreds maybe thousands of casualties.
    Then now apparently its OK for the Chinese to come into the country spending no war money or blood there and do the same thing-blow up ancient monuments, and the lame stream media doesn't appear to give a sh1t!
