Wow great stuff! Can't wait to see it cleaned up though I agree that it does look pretty cool in its natural state.

You cant beat a good clod shot

Like you im not in a great rush to clean items that stand a good chance of being right as most times they turn out to be junk but atleast I have a few hours of antisipation.

Thats what I was talking about in the previous post I leave things for a while before cleaning that way I can have a while living in hope before the disapointment.

    Tis a sweet ring

Why Waste time using an ordinary detector when you have the option to use a GPX4800.

They make gold rings in Hong Kong don't they? . It may still be gold. Bite it. See what it tastes like. . Looked good in the photo.

And never mind, I had a few days a while back thinking I may have a modern white gold and diamond ring (the silver stamp had worn off)...until my diamond tester arrived in the post and the acid test arrived in the post and I learned the terrible truth. Was worse for my wife, she'd already spent the proceeds from the sale of the ring...

Keep looking...keep going...the gold is out there...it just likes to keep us all waiting...
