20 Roman coins in 1 day!

My mate Slipper, went on a rally this weekend and found 20 Roman coins. I coundn't find 20 Roman coins if I was detecting in the British Museum!

Well to rub salt in it, a few years back Me, Slow and Gaz T, found over a hundred between us in one day.

Hi Steve nice to meet you today.

You will find a few coins at Corfe for sure.

Talk to my friend Tony Hunt, we go back before Corfe in fact when we gathered at Calne.

Yours was the first 3030 that I have held, even though Iam unable to detect for at least another couple of weeks.

I will keep an eye open for you at the Weekend Wanderers Rally.

Is that all Garry thats only thirty odd each

. On some of our hotspots in the early days we used to regularly lose count by mid morning

. Different these days with the ETrac and Explorers having been so good in the past. Its hard work now finding any hotspots. Its not like fishing where you can restock lakes and rivers for your pleasures, when what the Romans and Celts lost 2000 years ago is all found we will all be resorting to looking for modern losses like the Aussies and the yanks do. People keep saying poppycock theres plenty of undetected land left yet but there definitely Isn't. All the weekly rally club organisers are struggling to find undetected land with anything on it. The hobby is getting more and more popular because of the recent big hoards being televised with the result that even more people are chasing somewhere to detect and try to get rich quick but thats never going to happen, might just as well keep doing the lottery.
