    Picked up a ML ProFinder

Once i found out the +/- switch is an on-the-fly sensitivity control, i had to have one.
A little pricey but i think i'm gonna like it better than the Garrett Pro Pointer.

I took mine out for the first time today. This is the first pin pointer I have had or used along with a Predator shovel I cut my recovery efforts by 60%.

If you're still out there, at what distance will your pointer start detecting a clad penny in air?
My new Minelab pointer will detect a penny in air at only 1 and a half inches at best sometimes only an inch an a quarter. And thats at the max sensitivity setting. Hell my old White's Bullseye pin pointer will detect that same penny at a little over an inch or so.

I'm sort of disappointed with this lack of sensitivity and strongly thinking about sending it back for a refund or possibly an exchange.
    Maybe its a lemon i don't know!
Too bad, i really like that sensitivity control.

But there's another annoying thing. If the sensitivity is set to its Minimum and the pointer is powered off then powered on again, it will remember that Min. setting which is kind of BS. IMO, every power on should automatically be set to max. sensitivity. What the hell were the Minelab Engineers thinking?
