Hi all,
Out with the CTX on Sunday on a couple of freshly cut stubble fields, 4 inch high minimum.(6 inch in places!)
Was lucky enough to walk over these two hammereds, Charles I Penny & possible a Henry VI Halfpenny (?) & was surprised by the loud & clear signals.
I never stopped digging, pulling plenty of the usual small lead pieces from the stubble....& was well impressed by the CTXs speed.
I used Gordons `tadpole` programme but adapted it to suit my hearing & use (can`t do with those `smooth` sounding signals, does mi head in)
It runs much quieter than the E Trac & is definitely better balanced than it. The wireless unit/headphones worked a treat & i couldn`t fault it.
It takes a little getting used to the change in menu system/ buttons after years with the E Trac & i found myself trying to adjust it as i would the E Trac but after half an hour.... no probs.
Can`t wait for the weekend.........happy days
Ta for looking
