crawfords wouldnt give me any discount what so ever on a ctx so i simply took my custom elsewhere

Always found Crawford's spot on,done some good deal's with them and found them very helpful .Cannot knock them personally
they were the only online shop that wouldnt give any discounts and i asked nicely
Obviously they are in my home county and i go to them at their shop,they have always done good deal's on thing's for me.Probably when you turn up and speak to them one to one it's easier to get a deal.Take's me an hour to get there but always been worth it.What deal did you get from your supplier ?
There is one company offering a brilliant deal but only if you are prepared to go on there waiting list which is about 2-3 months..unfortunately i wanted the detector straight away so i couldnt accept there offer but i was very impressed by there honesty regarding delivery times.
There's obviously deal's to be had but they all seem to advertise the same price. You would think they would all move on price or offer extras to get your custom,i find it strange in the economic climate that dealer's are not trying to get our custom.
Why should they do deals, theres obviously a shortage with a waiting list for a product thats selling, no need to discount them surely.
Why Waste time using an ordinary detector when you have the option to own a CTX3030.

No problem jon,will certainly do as you have done.Like you say ,only human to get the best deal going.
I would guess that, if the dealers advertise or offer deals freely, they will be removed from Minelab's dealers list. If so, they will be nervous about the big-mouths bragging about the deal they got or even about a fictitious deal to try to beat other dealers down. Our hobby is not big enough to support a lot of dealers operating on tiny profits. If you've only recently come into detecting, I doubt if you would believe the number of small dealers who have gone out of business over the years!
No! I'm not connected to the trade in any way! No! I do not own a CTX yet, but I probably will! If you want a discount it shouldn't be too long before folks start selling - like they did the Etracs - because they can't be bothered to persevere and get to know the machine. Too many people these days want instant gratification and will not help themselves.
There now - see what you've done? Nearly got me on a rant at this time of the morning. I'd better go and find a pill to calm me down, now where's my Viagra????
