JA has sold out of the CTX 3030!

    CTX 3030
Just got a call from JA telling me that my order has been delayed by a couple of weeks because they've sold out of the CTX 3030. Yes, it is a pocket full of dosh, but it's going to be the future of dectecting. If I don't find anything with it, maybe I can still get a job with Minelab's PR department.

They appear to be very popular, Minelab must be counting the dollars.

They are the future simples, perfect for either the beginner or perfect for the pro

Why Waste time using an ordinary detector when you have the option to use a GPX4800.

There are plenty in USA second hand as the guys over the pond are taking them back or trading in. Must be something of an issue with them.

Went to dealer yesterday to look at the CTX but they cannot get hold of them but its not an issue as ETracs are being traded in for Deus II and Deus Lite. They are selling 50 Deus to one Minelab. Deus price have dropped due to the Euro and you can geta Deus Lite for £879.

Looked at the Deus and Minelab have a fight on their hands if they dont sort out the CTX.

You know its quite funny really.Any forum you go on to whether it be a Volkswagen Golf forum, or a Nissan Xtrail forum, once you here of a glitch or production problem the doubters and non user,s generaly latch on and and all of a sudden its a big white elephant with huge production problems with elledgedly all new stock going out as replacement,s.What twaddle you here sometimes.

America is huge market and i remember when the Garrett 2500 first came out and was one of the first to get it in Scotland.Did it have glitches.you bet it did,It was recalled due to process issues as far as i can remember and it was replaced with a new updated Model,It turned out a great detector for what i used it for.
Lets give the detector time to prove it self properly, instead of doubting it.Yes it will have glitches, softwear problems firmwear etc etc.

Probably the reason many sat on the fence initially, £2k to be a field tester? Ermmmm not my personal choice. Each to their own, from my brief glimpse it appears to have great potential once the glitch`s are resolved.

Minelab is getting ready to come out with the CTX 3050. Production has stopped on the 3030.

The new CTX 3050 has all the familiar features in the lower priced 3030 model but several new features will be added. One new feature will allow you to make calls from your cell phone and will have a microphone built in to the headset.

To be fair captain, I'd not trade a Viking 5 for a fisher75.
up here in the north east it was one of the worse machines I've owned.

Just registering my disappointment in the CTX 3030 being completely sold-out at JA, and they don't have a resupply date. What's the Nighthawk website? It would be interesting to know how many of them have picked up the new machine! The future of dectecting is around midnight!

Hope your all enjoying the new ctx3030 all I wanted was it to have a new feature of BIG friendly.
My hand does not comfortably manage to fit between the control box and the turn so really not good for me sadly.
Feature wise on test it is a super easy machine to use and ID difference is possitive to say the least.
Faster than an etrac across easily identifiable targets no real difference on the slow_n_low technique.
Without glitches I agree this machine is the way forward but pls Minelab redesign the handle there some big handed lads and ladies out there I am only a size 11.5 hand there are peeps with size 14.
Not all of us are average size and average size is propably not you average customer either!!
Guess this is why so US guys are trading in as US guys tend to be bigger too!!!
Ergotomically give us a bit of space as too big does not harm too small does.
