It may well be a great detector, but its embarrassingly stupid 70's looking.
I for one are way to cool to be seen swinging something as daft as that.
But for the old 70 year olds who it's aimed it, I guess it fits right in.

Good luck with it whoever buys one though..
From an old git who doesn't give a Sierra Hotel 1 Tango about appearance as long as it does it's job Barrie.

Sorry Dave! It looked like another of the doomsayer's posts! About 8 weeks or maybe sooner. Barrie.

Was just joyfull banter matey, the thread started to get stressed.

Hope you do well with it, but if you get stuck, any t.v repair man from 1972 would sort you right out.

I expect one of those Bliss detectors would indeed make you look the part.

Bliss, green annorak, wellies, wooly hat, spade, .... standing next to a crater of a hole in the ground.
Happily heaving a WWII bomb into a wheelbarrow.

Nothing wrong with knobs needing turning, every detector brand has a few of these modells.

Blast It! Youve been spying on me!

Actually, and I imagine that Tony might be getting to the stage of agreeing with me, the number of knobs is probably little different from the number of items in the menu, and for an old git, seeing the settings without having to troll through the menu has it's advantages. I was having difficulty remembering where I was in the maze of menus on the Explorers. I managed, mind you, but the Etrac is definitely easier. I still don't know why folks are so uptight about the looks of a detector! All I ask is that it does it's job well (and preferably better than the others). I'm OK for valves, my Dad was a keen radio man and somewhere in the garage I am pretty sure I have a box of his old valves........
Now, what was I going on about - and where am I?

Then you should know - valves are better than transistors - the blisstool - it rocks ......better also to have knobs on the machine unlike my machine that has one using it

Plenty of those it seems on this thread kyle. They come out of the woodwork regular as clockwork, same old names whenever theres something to crow about.
Why Waste time using an ordinary detector when you have the option to own a CTX3030.

As Rimmer would say "Nobby! Nobby! Nobby!"

I'm joining the nobs (or is it knobs?) brigade - and I'm glad I've come out!

Just one big difference, with the Blisstool you have to pay for the machine as you order it irrespective of when it's actually ready to be despatched.
Now if a long waiting time = lots of peoples monies, that equates to a hefty sum being amassed.
