I went to sign the consent form to have the knee operation today, the surgeon examined me again then sent me for a load of xrays. He then decided instead of replacing the knee joint he would do an arthroscopy on the knee , with the idea to releave the pain and to have a good look in there, he is convinced that the cartlidge is torn and hopefully he can cut away the torn bits (ive had this done before on both knees) but the best part is that I will be fit or a bit stiff so I will be comming to Corfe it realy cheered me up, plus I wont be out of action for 3 months.

Bet your wife's pleased that your gonna be a bit stiff again

Im desperate to get them done for two reasons one to hopefully get rid of the pain the other is that we are trying to sell our the house, if we move and I havent had them done, I will have start the cycle again going through a new doctor and a different hospital and then join the waiting list.

Latest Corfe news guys. Had a long chat with our other farmer at corfe today on the state of the ground etc. Rapes been combined and those fields will shortly be worked down and got ready for seeding with winter wheat around the time we are there end of september so no horrible long stubble like other years. All the other combining should be hopefully well finished by then also so my plan of moving the rally to a later date should pay off with some better cultivated fields. There is an outside chance also but no promises yet that we may be able to have a day on the 150 odd acres on another farm he rents where he actually lives. It will mean a short car trip of about 5 miles from Corfe but theres no promises yet until he gets the nod from his landlord. This land will be a completely unknown and never been detected as far as we are aware. It hasn't got any known old history but has to be worth a try by the group.
