    New Detech Ultimate coil

I've just completed a field test on the New Detech coil, which some of you may find interesting.
    It's in PDF format that can be downloaded from my website at;
    Chefphones, metal detecting headphones
On the bottom right of the Ethos page

You spend all that time camo-ing up your detector .... then stick a white coil on the end!

Only colour they had at the time Gary and I tend to use coils for a purpose (in reality the camo's hiding the scratches) not as a fashion statement.

Chef would you reccomend this coil over a 12" x 10" SEF coil? I am torn between this and another SEF :/

You won't be disappointed Scotorum, it's the best coil I've ever tried. It makes differences I believed only the machine itself could make.

Sorry Neo I didn't even notice your post and a bit late now. But I wouldn't get rid of the 10X12 as I have sites that have iron pan close to the surface and the Ultimate can be that little too sensitive for it, but on pasture I rate it higher than any of the SEF's regardless of size.

Thats interesting, been thinking of a big coil,I just dont seem to get on with my 12x15 sef,it seems a little unstable, but not overly so.

    Re: New Detech Ultimate coil

Well if you get one Geoff, one thing you will notice is the weight as it's lighter than the Pro-coil. When I say about the difference, it's the target or tone separation, the common denominator on a lot of targets that I have found on old sights is that they have been at an acute angle and I can only think this is why the SEF's didn't find them. If it had only been one or two then I would probably of just thought that I hadn't been over them but it has now happened too many times. Also the targets with mixed composition ie buttons with iron backs and lead with iron nails through it, they give a iffy signal but part of the "iffy" is just too good to leave.

do i get a discount (not that one is needed with such good prices) for the free advertising?

    Re: New Detech Ultimate coil

There's nothing on the second hand page as yet, that will be the reason. I only moved up from just headphones two weeks ago so the site is still "work in progress".
I've tried to make the prices as affordable as I can, so that people can can buy them not just add them to the their "maybe one day" list.
I also don't keep a large stock so that helps with prices but even when not in stock the average wait will only be 7 days.
I'm not sure about discount, I think you should invoice me for your commission

I read the report and this coil sounds very good, so good that I may be willing to part with some cash. My only concern is that you are selling these coils from the same site that I am reading the review from. I find it hard to part with money for something thats been reviewed by someone who is advertising that product on their site. I am not saying that you are trying to get more commission from doing a great sales pitch through the review, but I would rather see reviews from Joe public who are not selling the item for financial gain. I have been stung too many times in the past, so ill wait until one or two of these guys produce an unbiased review before purchasing..

    Very wise Dave.
Why Waste time using an ordinary detector when you have the option to own a CTX3030.
