Encouraging words:Thumbs-Up: The field has just been drilled so should be nice and flat. It was so dry when I went on it the other day that I'm going to wait until there's been a little bit of...

Thanks for that quick post - just what I hoped to hear:Thumbs-Up: I have a local field which has become somewhat unproductive - not surprising as I have been searching it for 5 years. I'm hoping...

I posted this back in August last year (2012) but only had three replies (all in August) :(. Has no one had any "hands on" experience since then? I would still appreciate any user comments (good...

A long way from home (in darkest Hampshire) and no trains or buses in those days. Thanks for the further details :Thumbs-Up: Thanks also to all those who posted "I like it" comments. Dave

That was quick, Steve :Thumbs-Up: I hope you are not sitting there waiting for my requests to flood in - finds seem to be hiding from me this year. Dave

I was very pleased to find a part coin this morning - beggars cannot be choosers :). It's about 14 mm in diameter and I presume that the "stars" suggest it's Scottish - that's as far as my...

Thanks Mal, looks like I'll be swinging the CTX but I don't think (even with a harness) that I will use my 17" coil. I've not been detecting for 3 weeks owing to a pulled muscle or pinched nerve -...

I entirely agree with the above. I enjoy having access to all parts of the site and, when stuck, I am constantly being helped out by others more knowledgable than myself (including technical matters...

Delayed my meal and had another "play": Deleted all programmes from the CTX but, on checking the icon in XChange find that Universal Settings cannot be removed. Cleared "All" and "File" from...

Noting that only one set of "Universal Settings" can be loaded into the CTX3030 at any given time (surely a rather negative point), I thought that it would be useful if I made myself a chart showing...

I have neither of the above and wonder if I will be fighting an uphill battle (on flat sandy beaches) using my CTX3030 or (dare I say it) my Deus. I only search beaches while on holiday (previous...

An expensive lesson: a) I insisted on showing my appreciation to the farmer. b) I put the vehicle through a car wash (it needed a spruce up anyway). c) I spent ages taking all the wheels off and...

  1. i would like to apologies for my use of bad language in my post, i could have and should have been more constructive, i just felt so ...annoyed that what i hoped would be a constructive thread about the ctx was turning into a farce and being called an a**kisser for showing some appreciation, was the last straw.
i sent this as a personal msg to stop it going any more off coarse
